Harmonia Mission: Launch Terminated

The Harmonia Mission organized through Mars Ocean Analogs was planned to start with training on June 2nd, and leave to sea from Florida on the 4th or 5th with arrival in New York set for June 23rd.

Shortly after boarding the Starship Anne, the only vessel operated by Mars Ocean Analogs, it was determined that conditions were unsafe to continue the mission. The crew decided to scrub the planned mission.

Walkthrough of the vessel.

Raining bunk on boat.

Between the lack of safety equipment, poor sanitation and hazardous sleeping environment, it was a pretty obvious choice to leave the boat.

I am so glad that we were with a professional crew that put safety first. We are looking into options for doing a mission with a different venue.
